When you feel difficulty seeing things suddenly, you may experience sudden blindness. Some people think that complete blindness and sudden blindness are the same and They become stressed and their tension levels increase but the reality is always different from expectations. During sudden blindness, you feel sudden blurring or temporary blindness from one eye or partial vision loss. sudden loss of vision may last longer for one hour or a day. However, if prompt treatment is available at that time, the sudden loss of vision may return into permanent blindness.

 Here are some main causes of sudden blindness:


  • Flashing light 

If you see flashing light then it causes sudden blindness because it's a sign of migraines which is an intense headache, it causes temporary blindness in both or one eye. Migraines are sensitive to light, while you feel nausea, vomiting, headaches, and tiredness. Migraines are not the same for everyone.

  • Blood vessel

Due to the tightening of blood vessels in your retina, the blood flow in vessels is impacted or feels difficult to reach the retina. It is also the main cause of sudden blindness or temporary blindness.

 Over the age of 50 years old people, the main reason for sudden blindness or sudden blurry vision is due to temporal arteritis which is inflammation of blood vessels. If the person's blindness is not treated at that time, he or she will go for permanent blindness because the risk factors of blood clotting in the eye or in the field of vision increase day by day. Due to a blood clot temporary vision loss and lead to permanent central vision loss.

  • Vitreous hemorrhage


 A blood leak into the vitreous gel with the eye and loss the eye vision because the light entering into the eye block and a person suddenly feels blindness or blurring vision. These are the sign of 

Vitreous hemorrhage blocked the light from entering into the eye.

Vitreous hemorrhage damages the blood vessels of the eye retina and retinal vein occlusion is also a risk factor for producing Vitreous hemorrhage, which is dangerous for the retina. The vitreous hemorrhage causes sudden blindness because it starts bleeding from another part of the eye.

Do not worry because it goes away by itself. Vitreous hemorrhage can also be removed through surgery if it is a serious problem.


  • Retina damage

You see something or anything from your eye and definitely it is a gift of god. A retina is the back side focusing point in your eye. The damage occurred resulting in loss of eye vision or its sudden blindness.

 Any damage to your eye’s retina may result in total blindness or partial blindness.  The focusing area or central focusing area of the retina is macular which we discussed earlier, so whenever macular damage it affects the retina which is the cause of sudden blindness.

Now it usually occurs due to old age or weakness of muscle or if you have high blood pressure and diabetes and your blood is thicker than normal.


How to prevent sudden blindness?

It is an important thing you note that precautions are more important and beneficial than a diagnosis. Proper eye check is more important after every three-month period. Check your eye specialist doctor as soon as possible to prevent sudden blindness.

Some important things include exercise and proper diet mean your eating plan and the diet 

You must be healthy and natural. Natural food and diet make you healthy and fit.

If you have children you should make an appointment with an ophthalmologist if the child is 6 months old and then when he or she is 3, 6 years old respectively.

Take some rest from work and sleep well. Do not do much work and sit on radiation or light flashing things because these things cause sudden blindness.

 Daily Exercise early in the morning, walk and see green grass and trees because greenery delivers power to your eyesight and prevents sudden blindness.

You should focus on what you are eating because it matters. Your diet should  contain minerals 

And vitamin. Take breakfast with healthy food and eggs. Vitamins-rich food is healthy and it gives power to your vision. 

Your diet should contain low sugar because it prevents you from sudden blindness. Diabetes creates many problems for your vision problem.
